It also operates quietly. Electric motors are also less complex than a traditional motor. These batteries can then also be lighter. Most hybrid vehicles provide excellent gas mileage because they use mostly electric. They work by using the gas to charge the motor instead of hooking it to a charger of some sort. The electric motors that use only battery power are called Battery Electric Vehicles or BEVs. These are less popular for the reasons mentioned, like power limitations and weight issues.
Electric vehicles are not as rare as they once were. With growing oil problems and a major concern over the condition of the environment, electric vehicle motors are getting support everywhere. From the United states government to Hollywood, people are starting to believe electric vehicles are the best way to travel. With the advancement of technology giving electric vehicle more powerful batteries and more options as to how they are charged, electric vehicles are now sold right along side the other fuel powered vehicles.
